Lot consists of: (A) US M1840 NCO sword in standard configuration with ricasso marked "US / DFM / 1863" and "EMERSON & SILVER / TRENTON / NJ." Complete with leather scabbard with a white buff frog. Drag is marked "G.W.C." The blade exhibits a light patina with scattered light blemishes throughout its length. Hilt exhibits a pleasing dark patina. Scabbard remains sturdy with a few scuffs, scratches, and light cracks. Frog remains supple with a few stains. CONDITION: Good. (B) US M1840 officer's sword in standard configuration wire grip and urn pommel. Unmarked and accompanied by a leather frog. Blade exhibits a heavy chocolate patina; guard exhibits a medium-dark patina. Frog is in 2 pieces with broken piece attached by string. CONDITION: Fair.
