Iconic Civil War repeating carbine manufactured circa 1863 to 1865. Standard configuration with a 22" .52 caliber 6 groove rifled barrel, blade front sight, ladder rear sight graduated to 800 yards, and case-hardened lever action. Plain walnut forend retained by a single barrel band. Matching plain walnut stock with saddle ring and bar, and buttplate for use with removable tube magazines. Stock marked with a razor-sharp "ECW" cartouche with additional subinspector marks present throughout. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel has largely drifted to a brown patina. Receiver retains significant portions of its case colors starting to fade with evidence of some cleaned, older oxidation. Stocks are especially fine retaining nearly all of their original finish with a few minor impressions and a split at the rear of the saddle ring bar. Very good, strong bore. Mechanics sticky.
