Lot consists of: (A) US saber bayonet numbered "8623" on hilt. 19 - 1/2" blade 24" overall. Complete leather scabbard. Blade and hilt exhibit older cleaning. Scabbard remains firm with light surface cracking. (B) Socket bayonet marked "US" with 18" blade. Dark gray patina. (C) Socket bayonet with proof mark and 18" blade. Light gray patina (D) Unmarked socket bayonet with 19" blade. Gray patina. (E) Socket bayonet marked "US / SM" with 15" blade. Light patina. CONDITION: Varying, all bayonets exhibit blemishes typical of old blades, some with evidence of cleaning. Fair-good.
