Second model rifle manufactured in 1881. Fit with a blued 28" octagon barrel chambered in .45-60 with 2-line address, full-length magazine tube, dovetail blade front sight, and semi-buckhorn rear. Blued receiver with plain dust cover and elevator restamped ".45-60". Standard 2-piece plain walnut stock with steel nose cap and tool trap rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good. Blued finish has largely drifted to a plum patina with some areas of cleaned, older oxidation. Elevator exhibits a pleasing mellow patina. Stocks are good with scattered impressions. Dark bore with visible rifling and areas of moderate pitting. Good mechanics.
