Pair number 99 of 1,000 high quality reproductions of the iconic silver mounted Washington and Lee flintlock pistols, which were originally built in the mid-1770s and owned by George Washington, eventually being passed down to Robert E. Lee's wife. This lovely pair is fit with 10" swamped octagon to round barrels with browned finish. Locks are engraved "BAKER" with light foliates and a border. Stocked in walnut with relief shell carving at the tang, and engraved silver plated mounts. Pistols are housed in an attractive fitted hardwood case with leather cover. Complete with original certificate and instructions. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the original browned finish is retained on the barrels; silver mounts remain bright. Stocks are very fine. Case has a few minor marks.
