Third model rifle manufactured in 1889. 24" round barrel in desirable .22 Short chambering with full-length removable magazine tube, drift adjustable blade front sight, and semi-buckhorn rear. 2-piece plain walnut stocks with steel nose cap and crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Rifle displays a gray patina with cleaned pinprick oxidation throughout, some components cleaned to a brighter polish. Stocks very good as refinished with some light impressions. Bore is better than average for a rimfire 1873 with defined rifling and light black powder pitting. Mechanically fine.
