Early configuration with internal extractor, ring hammer, matching numbers on barrel, slide, and frame; Belgian proofs on frame, slide, and barrel. Checkered walnut grips with red-painted interiors. Front strap is marked "LGK NO / 0284" which is repeated on magazine baseplate; this is the denomination for the Austrian Federal Gendarmerie (Landes Gendarmerie Kommando). Housed in the appropriate box with a spare magazine with correct marking on the baseplate and an aftermarket later magazine; inside lid is marked "284" and "Fuchs" and FN logo embossed on lid. There is a discreet import stamp at rear of magazine well for GDI. CONDITON: Overall excellent, retaining virtually all of the factory bluing with some minor marks from handling and use, including some silvering to high edges consistent at muzzle wear. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling. Box has tapes corners to reattach aprons, high edge wear and a few peeling sections consistent with age. This is a very good example of a scarce pistol.
