Manufactured in 1867. Blued 5" octagon barrel with New York address and cone front sight. 6-shot .31 caliber percussion cylinder strongly rollmarked with stagecoach holdup scene. Standard silver plated brass grip straps with smooth varnished walnut 1-piece grips. Housed in a period partitioned hardwood case with correct eagle flask, Colt's Patent dual cavity mold, and Goldmark's cap tin. CONDITION: Very good. Iron components exhibit an even dove gray patina with some traces of original finish. Grip straps likewise a mellow patina with a few traces of silver in protected areas. Grips have some light areas of finish loss at the base with a few scattered marks, otherwise very fine. Strong bore. Full or partial matching numbers observed throughout. Case is fine with minor bumps and scrapes, the original liner fading to brown while the partitions appear recovered. Accessories are very good.
