Manufactured circa 1870. Blued 4" octagon barrel with 1-line New York address and brass pin front sight. 5-shot .31 caliber cylinder roll marked with a partially visible stagecoach hold-up scene. Silver plate grips straps and plain 1-piece walnut grips. Housed in a period hardwood case with an eagle flask, 2 cavity Colt's Patent mold, L-shaped wrench, and UMC cap tin. CONDITION: Very good overall. Iron components display an even silvery gray patina with a few traces of original finish. Grip straps likewise have a mellow patina with a few traces of plating. Grips are very fine, showing only a few marks. Strong frosted bore. Mechanically fine. Matching numbers observed throughout. Case has a coat of added finish and appears relined. Accessories are very good.
