1 of approximately 2,200 Model 1862 Navy conversions produced or altered by Colt. The top of the barrel is stamped with Colt's single-line address, with Colt's 2-line patent information stamped on the left side of the frame. Metal components are nickel plated, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth wood grips. Matching serial number "2090" is present on the frame, trigger guard, barrel, and butt. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original factory-applied nickel finish, exhibiting areas of finish loss, some small spots of bubbling, and some pitting that is present on the cylinder. Bore is bright, exhibiting areas of pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit overall loss to their varnish and some minor losses from wear but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. An extremely attractive example of a rare Colt Model 1861 Navy conversion revolver.
