Only 977 Model 320 revolving rifles were produced from 1879 to 1887, 514 of which were fit with 18" barrels. The blued finish example features a round ribbed 18" barrel stamped with 2-line Smith and Wesson address on the rib with a replacement fixed front sight and flip up v-notch rear sight. Classic round butt No. 3 style action with 6-shot fluted cylinder chambered in the proprietary .320 S&W rifle cartridge. Grips are checkered mottled red and black hard rubber with "S&W" monograms at the top. Matching monogrammed checkered hard rubber forend. Correctly fit with a removable plain Circassian walnut stock with hard rubber "S&W" monogrammed butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Revolver retains the vast majority of its reapplied blued finish with some freckling and thinning. The left grip and butt plate are cracked but serviceable; hard rubber components appear very fine with good color and some minor marks. The stock retains most of its finish with some scattered impressions. Very fine bright bore displaying well-defined rifling with a few pits. Good mechanics.
