Lot contains: (A) A 4" x 6" card signed by Martin Bormann, who was the head of the NSDAP Chancellery and Hitler's private secretary, and who by the end of World War II had become second only to Hitler. The card states "Die Besten Wuensche zur Julfeier" which translates to "Best wishes for the Yule Celebrations". Bormann's signature was authenticated by "James Spence Authentication, LLC", and a COA dated May 3, 2023 is provided with this lot. Card has light staining and a couple of light creases. CONDITION: Overall excellent. (B) A 4" x 6.5" card from Rudolf Hess, who was appointed as Hitler's deputy in 1933, and held that position until 1941, when he flew solo to Scotland in an attempt to negotiate the United Kingdom's exit from the Second World War. The card states "Mit bessten Wuenschen zum Weihnachtsfest und fuer das lechste Arbeitsjahr des nationalsozialischen Aufbaues" which translates to "With best wishes for Christmas and for last year's work in building National Socialism". Card is dated "December 1937" and has an embossed NSDAP eagle on the upper left. Card has light staining and a 1/4" dent. CONDITION: Overall excellent.
