1st model rifle manufactured circa 1876. Blued 24" round barrel chambered in .44-40 with full length magazine tube, 2-line address, replacement dovetail sights, and thumbprint dust cover. Fit with 2-piece plain walnut stocks with steel nose cap and tool trap buttplate. CONDITION: Good. Metal has drifted to a brown-gray patina with some cleaned oxidation spots. Stocks have been sanded with a split present in the forend. Dark bore displays strong rifling. Fine mechanics.
