Lot consists of: (A) US M1902 Dress Sword named on the scabbard "COL. JAMES C. LEIGHTON / FROM / OFFICERS OF THE 116TH ARMORED CAVALRY REG.'T." The sword is quite appealing, with a bright blade that features nicely executed panels decorated with foliate and patriotic motifs. Ricasso is marked "TRADE / CONQUEROR / MARK / NS MEYER INC." Elegant hilt with eagle head pommel and feathered backstrap that compliments the foliate designs on the guard. Complete with finished scabbard that features scrolled mounts. Sword remains very clean overall with minor blemishes from service and storage. Missing 1 throat screw. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Circa early 20th-century Revenue Cutter Service sword with blade etched in naval motifs for just over half its length. Ricasso marked "F.T. Heiberg / Washington / D.C." USRCS marked guard with grooved wood grip wrapped in sharkskin and brass wire. Complete with leather scabbard that features brass mounts. Missing drag. Blade exhibits a gray patina with pitting toward the tip. Guard with mellow patina. Scabbard exhibits surface cracking and wear. CONDITION: Fair. (C) Circa 1890-1920 US Army officer's dress saber strap cased with 2 US Army officer sword knots. According to a card displayed with the knots, the knot with the wider slide was carried by Captain Charles H. Martin who retired as a Major General and became the Governor of Oregon. Nice patina to strap and knots. CONDITION: Good.
