Built by master craftsman Paul Persinger of El Paso, Texas, who was designated the official ivory carver for Colt, for a Colt 1871/1872 Open Top with a full size army frame. 1-piece style constructed of mellow, diamond-checkered ivory bonded to a central piece of walnut. CONDITION: Very good overall, displaying a pleasing cream color with some darker striations. A small area of moderate wear present near the base or the right panel.
