Manufactured 1981. Standard configuration as made for a special run with Pachmayr-Colt wraparound grips with Colt medallions, adjustable rear sight, fixed front sight, Gold cup skeletonized trigger, serrated small parts, narrow hammer, and knurled flat mainspring housing. Serrated front of trigger guard. Slide is inlaid with gold scroll and ribbon with 2 globes and a banner that reads "INTERNATIONAL SHOOTERS EDITION / COLT GOLD CUP .45 CAL. HARTFORD CT" on left side, right side with more scroll and a shooter aiming a 1911, with a Rampant Colt and trophy interspersed into the photoengraving, and "USA 1 OF 200" on left side of dust cover. With the Colt woodgrain box with styrofoam clamshell and Custom Shop end label identifying this gun by serial number, Colt branded pistol rug, and extra magazine. Factory letter confirms configuration and accessories. CONDITION: Very good, retaining virtually all of the factory finish with some minor marks from handling and storage, probably shop wear. Bluing to slide and small parts are starting to plum. Pachmayr grips have split right under trigger guard. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent, bright and shiny, with sharp rifling. Wood grain box is very good with some age-related peeling and distress, including some damage to one apron, but all are present. Rug and extra magazine are fine. A scare gun.
