Shipped January 17, 1888. Blued 26" octagon chambered in .40-65 with full-length magazine tube, 2-line address, beaded blade front sight, and sporting rear. Case-hardened solid frame with a plain trigger. 2-piece plain walnut stocks with steel nose cap and solid crescent rifle butt plate. A copy of a 1993 dated factory letter confirms options, sights unlisted. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel retains significant portions of thinning original blue. Receiver displays a silvery patina with traces of case color patterning. Stocks are fine with scattered impressions, the forend possibly a correct replacement. Strong bright bore displaying well-defined rifling with a few imperfections. Crisp mechanics.
