A lovely double action folding trigger pepperbox revolver likely made in Belgium with Birmingham proofs over the chambers. Blued and fluted 8-shot cylinder chambered for .22 RF ammunition. The gold washed, foliate scroll engraved frame is stamped on the recoil shield "MEYERS / BREVETTE". Fit with a pair of finely checkered hardwood grips with a lanyard loop. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain significant portions of thinning original blued finish, some areas drifting to gray patina. Frame displays significant traces of gold wash, especially in protected areas. Traces of nitre blue are likewise visible on the hammer and trigger. Grips are very good with a few spots of flattened checkering. Mechanically fine.
