Standard configuration P.08 Luger manufactured by Mauser prior to World War II. The receiver is stamped "1936" over the chamber with Mauser "(Eagle)/ 63" waffenamts stamped on the right. Toggle bears Mauser's "S/42" clandestine manufacturer code. Major metal components are rust blued; some smaller components are straw or nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All numbers match except for the grips and magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of wear, thinning, and mild surface oxidation overall. Strawed components retain fair amounts of their original finish, exhibiting wear overall and some age-related discoloration. Bright bore, exhibiting some mild pitting and good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered nicks to the diamonds but are otherwise fine.
