Manufactured 1883. Matching numbers observed on barrel, frame, trigger guard, butt, and cylinder. Loading gate with 1412 assembly number. 7 - 1/2" barrel with replacement small front sight, DFC inspection ahead of ejector rod, and single line Colt address on top of barrel. Left side of frame with 3 line patent information and "U.S." stamp; DFC inspector mark on lip ahead of trigger guard. Trigger guard and backstrap are not inspected and are replacements. 1 piece walnut grips are replacements. Hammer and mainspring replaced with modern iterations. CONDITION: Barrel is essentially a smooth gunmetal grey throughout with some chemical aging, oil staining, silvering at high edges, and some bluing in recessed areas, particularly under ejector rod housing. Frame is devoid of case colors with some staining and light oxidation. Trigger guard and backstrap have been chemically aged to match. Mechanically fine with all 4 Colt clicks, bore has visible rifling and heavy oxidation.
