Fit with a 42" .69 caliber smoothbore barrel bearing eagle head, "P", "SJ", and "V" proofs as well as an "1821" date and "S.N.Y" New York ownership marking. Convex lock plate marked with central eagle motif over "L. POMEROY" and at the tail vertically "1821 / US". Full-length low comb walnut stock stamped on the left flat near the lock bolt plate with an encircled "LS" cartouche. Standard Charleville-styled iron mounts. Complete with an iron ramrod and leather sling. CONDITION: Good. Metal displays a pleasing brown patina, a layer of protective coating added to the lock. Stock has a rich aged appearance with a repaired split at the wrist and a sliver of loss at the heel. Lock is a professional reconversion in need of adjustment.
