Mauser 98K rifle made in Czechoslovakia for use by the Germans in World War II and then most likely reworked and used by one of the Soviet Bloc Countries Post World War II as a sniper rifle. Rifle features standard 24" military style barrel with hooded ramp front sight and unnumbered rear graduated flip sight. Standard 98K blued action with mismatched numbered bolt (bolt matches itself) and unnumbered post-War Czech stamped large loop floorplate and front stock hardware with receiver milled for claw mounts (rear missing). Gun has standard laminated 2-piece 98K stock with cup buttplate and faint waffenamts. Rifle has period looking leather sling. CONDITION: 80% fading original military finish with light edge wear. Stock has traces of oil finish with handling and usage marks. Good bore and mechanics.
