Made by Smith and Wesson Arms Company between 1870 and 1874. Original nickel plated 8" round ribbed barrel with Smith and Wesson single-line top marking in .44 S&W American caliber with standard pinned blade front sight. Nickel plated break open frame with 6-shot fluted cylinder with all matching numbers and standard 2-piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: 92% original nickel finish with light scratches and some light flaking and discoloration towards muzzle. Barrel has been cleaned and polished to hide 1" crack in front of lug, which does not appear inside. Grips appear to have been lightly cleaned with light scratches. Excellent bore and mechanics.
