An extremely unusual gun, clearly influenced by the S&W No. 3. Nickel plated throughout. German silver half moon front sight, diminutive V notch rear sight, break action with extractor extremely similar to the S&W No. 3 barrel assembly. Cylinder has been carefully repaired with braize around the rear, with a few of the ejector star flanges broken, and very small English proofs. Knurled section of frame knuckle can be pulled and releases the sideplate, exposing internals. Grips retained by a clever clip and hook system, which also utilizes that hook as a stud for a lanyard loop. Hard rubber grips. Belgian proofs on rear of cylinder, and very small English proofs on cylinder. Dickinson appears to have been a retailer, and probably acquired this gun out of Belgium. CONDITION: Good, with some scattered bubbling of the period refinished nickel and handling marks. Some handling marks and flaking. Cylinder shows some heat distortion, probably when repaired. Grips are very good, some heads abraded, but solid and free of serious cracks or chips; some very minor chips at edges. Mechanically fine, bore with visible rifling and some light pitting throughout. Cylinder spring needs some attention, as cylinder "jumps" when revolver is broken open. A very slick little gun with a well thought design.
