Circa 1978. Scarce factory bright nickel finish. Only 2,200 6" .22 caliber nickel Diamondback revolvers are estimated to have been produced. Classic vent rib, full lug barrel with ramped front sight and adjustable square notch rear. 6-shot fluted cylinder, smooth trigger, and checkered hammer. Grips are 2-piece checkered walnut target style inset with gold Colt medallions. Complete with the original numbers matching woodgrain box and factory paperwork, including hang tag. CONDITION: Excellent. Near new condition retaining virtually all of its original lustrous nickel finish with some light handling marks and a turn line. Grips are fine, showing only a few marks. Excellent bore, possibly unfired since leaving the factory. Mechanically fine. Box is very good with some moderate edgewear and traces of banding tape. A very nice example of a very hard to find Snake Gun.
