Serial number 741 manufactured circa 1905. Cannon features a Winchester proofed tapered 12" blued steel tube chambered for 10 gauge blanks only, and is specifically marked "NOT FOR BALL". Tube also marked with "WINCHESTER" trademark and 2-line address. Cannon is mounted to the correct "W.R.A.Co." marked black painted cast iron carriage with early style perforated iron wheels. Complete with correct wooden Winchester shipping crate and 4 25-round boxes of later Winchester black powder blanks. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory applied blue is retained on the barrel and breech with a few freckles present, along with some silvering around the muzzle. Carriage likewise displays bountiful amounts of black finish with very minor spots of loss. Bore shows some expected black powder abrasion. Crate is very good. Ammunition appears serviceable. An overall very handsome example.
