Manufactured in 1920. As standard for military production with brushed blue wartime finish. 5 - 1/2" round barrel with blade front sight and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" mark. 6-shot fluted swing out cylinder designed for use with .45 ACP ammunition on half moon clips. Lanyard loop square butt frame marked "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1917" with an additional eagle head over "515" inspector mark present on the left side. 2-piece smooth walnut grips with 3 kill notches on the left base. CONDITION: Very good. The vast majority of the original factory applied finish is retained with some moderate wear, especially on the trigger guard and back strap. No visible turn line. Grips show impressions and nicks in line with carry wear but are otherwise in good condition. Very fine bright bore, possibly test fired only. Matching Colt serial numbers on frame and crane.
