15 - 3/8" colichemarde blade with fire bluing panel with gilt scrollwork for about half the blade, with "HONNEUR EST MON GUIDE" (French, trans: My Honor Is My Guide) in the panel. Quillons with fleur-de-lis finials. Brass handle with faux wirewrap, cast and chased, and applied discs that are engraved with initials on one side and a more recent copper with naval anchor on the other. Housed in a gilt copper sheath with single hanger. CONDITION: Overall very good. Blade with some scattered darkness but retaining much of the fire blued scene and gilt, with legible inscription. Hilt is good with some solder in "rope" when disc applied. Scabbard very good with much rubbing to copper throughout, more gilt retained at chape and throat.
