Lot consists of: (A) US M1872 cavalry saber decorated for over half its length with patriotic and foliate motifs. Blade is marked on left ricasso "SHANNON / MILLER / & / CRANE / NEW YORK". Decorated brass guard with flower pommel and wood grip wrapped with sharkskin and twisted brass wire. Complete with nickel-plated steel scabbard with presentation that reads "Presented to Lieut. H De H Cameron by Troop C USA November 1898". Blade is bright with scattered blemishes and areas of finish loss. Guard with pleasing patina. Intact grip with nice wrap. Hilt slightly loose. Scabbard remains bright with nice patina to brass mounts. Presentation is faint but legible. CONDITION: Good. (B) US M1872 cavalry saber decorated for half its length with patriotic and foliate motifs. Blade is marked on left ricasso "G.W. / SIMMONS / & Co. BOSTON / MASS". Decorated brass guard with flower pommel and sharkskin grip with twisted brass wire. Complete with nickel-plated steel scabbard with presentation that reads "Presented to Major Henry E. Gilson / by the officers and members of the / Bunker Hill Cavalry Association / AUG. 17, 1892". Blade is bright with light blemishes and crisp decorations. Guard with pleasing patina. Intact grip. Scabbard remains bright with nice patina to brass mounts. Presentation is crisp. CONDITION: Very good. (C) M1872 staff officer's sword with blade decorated for half its length with patriotic and foliate motifs. Maker marked on right ricasso. Folding half guard with presentation that reads "COL FRANK GALLEN / Presented / by his Providence FRIENDS / MAY 29th 1877". Nicely decorated hilt with flower pommel. Mother of pearl grip scales with brass wire. Complete with nickeled brass scabbard. Blade exhibits a gray patina. Hilt with mellow patina to guard and pommel. Grip scales intact with a few minor chips. Scabbard with nice patina and scattered blemishes. Tight brass mounts. CONDITION: Good.
