Made by Colt Firearms in 1909. Factory letter accompanying this gun lists shipment to a C.A. McMillan at an unknown address. Factory silver finish throughout. "BISELY MODEL 38 W.C.F." marked barrel fitted with added blade bead front sight, attached to remnants of original blade sight, and marked with Colt's single-line address. Colt and Colt Patent smokeless frame with matching serial numbers on receiver, trigger guard, and butt. Fitted with factory carved pearl grips with owner's initials "CAM" carved in a rope style. Comes with factory letter verifying shipment and manufacture and consignor research attempting to research original owner. PROVENANCE: Richard "Dick" Burdick Collection. CONDITION: 80% original silver plate finish with light handling marks and areas of silver flaking. Good grips with handling grime stains. Frosted bore with visible rifling and good mechanics with all 4 click positions. PROVENANCE: Richard "Dick" Burdick collection.
