Manufactured circa 1907. Classic 4 - 3/4" configuration with a blade front sight and notch rear sight in top strap. Left side of barrel with "45 COLT"; top with 2 line block Hartford address. Kidney-shaped ejector rod head. Case colored frame with 2-line 3-date patent information on left side of frame, with encircled pony behind. Left side of trigger guard with Colt "VP" proof and "T" proof. Fire blued frame screws and trigger. Matching full or partial serial numbers observed on frame, trigger guard, butt, back of cylinder; right grip scale with "4063" inscribed. Housed in a Colt maroon box serialized to a different gun on the bottom. PROVENANCE: Richard "Dick" Burdick collection. CONDITION: Very good as restored. Barrel with the vast majority of the reapplied bluing with areas of thinning scattered throughout, and losses to high edges, including ejector rod housing, at muzzle, and an area under caliber legend. Frame is very good with some superficial scratches and some scattered spotting, thinning at edges. Backstrap thinning at rear, with heavier losses towards butt. Box is very good with some rubs and age-related distress, but solid and complete. Mechanically fine with all 4 Colt clicks, bore with strong rifling and some mild frosting throughout.
