A nice British World War I medal bar named to Bombardier Michael Barry. The bar consists of his Military Medal impressed in small sans-serif capitals "30241 A.BMBR: M. BARRY. 113/HY BY: R.G.A.", 1914 Star with "5TH AUG.-22nd NOV. 1914" clasp named on reverse "30241 / GNR: M. BARRY / R.G.A.", War Medal impressed "30241 BMBR. M. BARRY. R.A.", and Victory Medal with oak leaf on ribbon impressed "30241 BMBR. M. BARRY. R.A.". Bombardier Louis Barry served in the 113th Heavy Battery, Royal Field Artillery during World War I. He is noted in included records as corporal, acting bombardier, and bombardier. Barry's Military Medal is confirmed in the records and was announced on Gazette page 6826 in issue 30172 on 6 July, 1917. He is listed as wounded on 21 September 1918 and survived the war. Barry's medals are nicely mounted on dark wool backing with a single 3 - 1/2" clasp. CONDITION: The medals exhibit a light patina with functional clasp and legible naming. Good overall.
