Manufactured to commemorate the 1980 Olympics, which was famously boycotted by the United States and other nations due to the Soviet presence in Afghanistan. Standard configuration with integral compensator, 2 barrel weights, normal legends including 5 Olympic rings highlighted in gold, adjustable rear sight, blade front sight. Stippled front and back straps, ergonomic wood grips. Small parts gold washed. Housed in the correct cardboard box with end label correctly identifying this gun by serial number, and presentation case, French fit for for the gun, with correct High Standard legends on lid. CONDITION: Excellent, with virtually all of the factory bluing retained with some minor marks from handling and storage; most offensive losses around extractor. Gold infill on legends dulling somewhat. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling and some minor frosting. Cardboard box is very good with some age related distress but intact and strong, presentation case fine with some handling marks throughout and top felt insert detached on left side.
