Lot consists of: (A) Cheesebox canteen with very nice distressed gray patina. Center has painted black initials, “P.C.”. Measures 6” in diameter. Overlapping rim is tight and tacked in place with iron nails. Spout and stopper are missing. Surface scratches are present with areas of paint loss. CONDITION: Good. (B) Cheesebox canteen with very nice patinaed old varnish. Front side exhibits a yellow sun type decoration with green border. Measures 6” in diameter. Overlapping rim is tight and tacked in place with iron nails. There are 3 iron sling keepers. Spout and stopper are missing. Surface scratches are present with areas of paint loss. CONDITION: Good (C) Small wood canteen with 3 thin iron sling keepers and initials "E.B" carved in 1 side. Partial cork. Scattered scratches, scuffs, and dents. CONDITION: Good. (D) Small barrel canteen, painted green/blue with gold highlights. 1 side is marked with painted white initials "H.T." and the other with the date "1793." Very nice patina. Missing cork. Scattered scuffs and scratches. CONDITION: Good.
