Manufactured in 1861. Revolver is fit with a 6" barrel with 1-line New York address and brass pin front sight. Standard ".36 CAL" marked silver plated grip straps with smooth varnished 1-piece walnut grips. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Barrel retains significant portions of original blue, especially in protected areas, the balance fading to gray patina. Cylinder has largely faded to patina with traces of blue. Strong case colors starting to mute in some areas. The vast majority of silver plating is retained on the grip straps, with some thinning along the edges and back. Grips are fine with light impressions throughout. Especially fine, bright and shiny bore with only minor imperfections. Crisp, fine mechanics. Matching "6256" serial number observed on barrel assembly, frame, grip straps, cylinder, and cylinder arbor. Wedge marked "6156", almost certainly in factory error.
