Less than 3,000 are believed to have been produced circa 1868 to 1880. The superposed, manually rotated, 2" barrels are stamped with a faint, early 3-line vertical maker marking. Desirable ring style hammer allows the pistol to be used as a watch fob. Brass frame with 2-piece rosewood bird's head grips. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Good. Barrels have been cleaned to a soft silvery gray patina with some frosting. Frame is a lovely mellow bronze color. Grips are fine with minor marks and an overall dark appearance.
