Made by Colt Firearms Company in 1851. Blued finish 7 -1/2" octagonal barrel with factory bead front sight and Colt single-line New York address. Case hardened Colt's Patent marked frame with silver plated small round trigger guard, matching Texas Naval scene cylinder, and matching case-hardened provision for loading lever. Standard varnished walnut 1-piece grip. All matching serial number markings. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: 95% original blue with light edge wear, light visible turn line, and light pitting areas along barrel. Sharp visible cylinder scene with finish turning gray and light turn line. 50% original faded case colors with 90% silver plate remaining. 90% original finish on grips with light scratches. Good bore with crisp mechanics and sharp rifling. A nice Colt.
