Circa 1950. Fully engraved with gold work, possibly done in Japan. Floral engraved blued finish with gold border embellishment, pinned 3 -1/2" round ribbed barrel, factory pinned blade front sight, and "SMITH AND WESSON" and "S&W 357 MAGNUM" markings. Full coverage of floral engraving on blued "N" action frame with gold line border, S&W logo, and fully floral engraved blued cylinder. Large style S&W emblem checkered walnut 2-piece stocks. Comes with original owner registry while stationed in Japan. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: 95% blue with light edge wear with light visible turn line from operation. 90% finish on grips with sharp checkering. Mirror bore with crisp mechanics.
