Made by Colt Firearms Company in 1939. Blued finish 6 - 5/8" round barrel with King rib, target front sight with rib marked "COLT KING SUPER TARGET". Blued frame with Colt patent dates and "THE WOODSMAN" marking. Original Colt marked detachable magazine. 1-piece checkered extended grip. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: 95% blue with light edge wear with light visible wear from operation; large wear mark on gas tube in front of frame. 90% finish on grips with sharp checkering. Mirror bore with crisp mechanics.
