According to the Colt Factory archive letter, Single Action Army serial number 354516 shipped as a .45 Colt with a 4 - 3/4" barrel, blue finish, stocks not listed. It was shipped to Geller, J.H. Berry in Portland, Oregon, on April 15th, 1932, in a shipment of one gun. Under remarks the letter states that records indicate 1 extra cylinder for .45 Auto cartridge. Work was processed on Colt Factory order 11749/1. It has 2-piece hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt logo at the top of each one. 2-line barrel address "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." on top of the barrel. Rolled caliber mark on the left side of the barrel "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". 2-line patent and Rampant Colt logo on the left side of the frame. It comes in a green lined wood case with the extra .45 ACP cylinder. It is also accompanied by a letter from J.H. Barry explaining when and how he bought this gun. He retired as a Brigadier General in the Marine Corp. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Gun remains in good to better condition. It retains most of the factory applied blue finish with some holster wear and handling marks. Good case color on the frame and hammer. There is some fading and some discoloration on the frame. Grips are sharp and crisp with no visible wear. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves.
