Manufactured in 1938. Single line barrel address "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." on top of the barrel. Rolled caliber mark on the left side of the barrel "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .357". 2-line patent and Rampant Colt logo on the left side of the frame. Aftermarket 2-piece fleur-de-lis grip panels with silver Colt medallions. Comes in a modern fitted wood case with green felt interior. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Gun remains in above-average condition. It retains most of the factory-applied blue finish, with most of the finish loss to the barrel and ejector housing. Vivid case color on the frame with some fading. Front sight has been filed down a little bit. Grips are sharp and crisp with virtually no visible wear. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Case is in good shape.
