Made by Colt Firearms Company in 1937 with approximately 3,500 made. Blued finish 6" round barrel with factory large pinned blade target front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, rare " COLT SHOOTING MASTER 38" marking, and Colt two-line address. Blued double action frame with Rampant Colt, knurled grip, blued trigger, and blued 6-shot fluted cylinder. Diamond checkered walnut Rampant Colt emblem stocks. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: 95% blue with light edge wear with light visible turn line and light discoloration on crane from operation. 90% finish on grips with sharp checkering. Mirror bore with crisp mechanics.
