This is one of the early Luger carbines in the 21000 serial number range that has not been molested. It shows enough dings, dents, and wear that we know it has not been reconditioned. Ramp front sight and a 3-position rear sight. Checkered forend. Detachable checkered stock with a 2-screw iron and a horn butt plate. Front and rear sling swivels. Dished toggles. DWM in script on the front toggle link. Stamped in the commercial style. Matching serial numbers (21850) on the rear underside of the barrel and on the frame extension. Last three (850) numbers on the bottom of the receiver and the rear toggle link. The last 2 numbers (50) on the inside channel of the front stock, take down lever, side plate, trigger, grip safety, bottom of the front toggle link and the stock iron. Comes with a leather holster for the gun only. PROVENANCE: From the advanced collection of the esteemed and respected Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Gun retains most of the original applied rust blue finish. Wear to the barrel, high edge wear front grip strap and the stocks and grips. Checkering shows some wear and flattening. Good strong bore with well-defined lands and grooves. Leather holster is in great shape with good stitching. An untouched original condition 1902 Luger carbine.
