Manufactured 1922 per serial number. Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with 2-line 1-block patent and address information, last patent date August 19th, 1913; right side with "COLT // AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45 // (Rampant Colt)". Barrel with "S" proof in front of lugs. Frame has "O" proof near disconnector hole. Frame with "GOVERNMENT MODEL / C129516" on right side, "61" subinspector proof on right side of trigger guard, VP and "W" proofs on left side guard. Small parts comprise spurred checkered hammer, thick tab safety, checkered slide release, long milled trigger checkered magazine release, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and truncated diamond checkered walnut grips. 2 tone magazine. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Overall excellent, retaining virtually all of the Colt bluing with appropriate distension about proofs from application of stamp. Some silvering to high edges and scattered throughout, mostly to slide and reciprocating areas. Some scattered missing that does not detract. Barrel blue is pluming. Stocks are very good with some handling marks and abraded heads. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling and some very minor frosting in the second half of the barrel.
