Approximately 9,000 manufactured from 1870 to 1890. Standard polished blue barrel with 2-line Colt's Pt. address and German silver half moon front sight. Spur trigger iron frame, lightly engraved on each side and behind the hammer with foliate tendrils. 2-piece checkered walnut bird's head grips. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains significant portions of factory blue fading to gray patina with some freckling. Frame is essentially gray patina. Grips have a few nicks and impressions but are very good overall. Strong, lightly frosted bore. Mechanically fine.
