Manufactured circa 1973-1977. Classic blued finish throughout with case hardened trigger and hammer. Very attractable engraved with near full coverage in a floral vine arabesque pattern in relief over a punch dot background with profuse gold inlaid borders. Signed "ENG PL QUIGLEY" on the underside of frame for master engraver Phil L. Quigley. Other features include a pinned barrel, ramped front sight, micrometer click rear, 2-piece checkered walnut stocks inset with silver S&W medallions, and a S&W marked grip adaptor. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent retaining virtually all of expertly reapplied blued finish. Grips have sharp checkering with some finish loss. Very fine bright bore with crisp rifling. A highly attractive Smith & Wesson engraved by a master.
