An iconic self-defense knuckleduster revolver that could also be used as a set of brass knuckles due to its distinctive grip shape, manufactured 1868 to 1882. Standard blued 7-shot pepperbox style cylinder chambered in .22 rimfire with early production safety mechanism. Frame is silver plated brass with factory foliate scroll engraving and an engraved shield on the backstrap. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Fine. The majority of the pleasantly mellow toned silver plating is retained, thinning to warm-hued brass. Cylinder retains traces of original blue, the balance displays a dark gray patina with some freckles. Fine mechanics. The last 2 digits of the serial number are observed on the cylinder and cylinder pin.
