Manufactured in 1861 during the first year of production. Blued 6 - 1/2" round barrel with 1-line New York address, pin front sight, and hammer notch rear. Fluted 5-shot .36 caliber percussion cylinder. Silver plated grip straps marked with "36 CAL" designation. Grips are 1-piece oil finished walnut. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel retains significant portions of faded factory blue drifting to patina. Cylinder likewise retains portions of factory blue with some freckling. Frame case colors are bright and strong. The vast majority of silver plating is retained on the grip straps with some expected wear. Grips are especially fine. Strong, bright bore. Mechanically fine. Matching numbers observed throughout.
