Manufactured by the National Lead Co. to fit Colt Woodsman pistols. Constructed of sturdy brown leather with a black painted mount and belt loop, this ingenious holster could be fitted to the pistol grip, serving as a stock for more accurate shooting. These stocks are not regulated by the National Firearms Act if mounted to Colt Woodsman pistols manufactured between 1915 and 1943. This example is complete with an original 2-piece blue pasteboard box with intact end label. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent, showing only a few spots of light wear. Box has edgewear with some separation on the lid, remaining intact. A very nice example of a very scarce and desirable Colt accessory.
