Manufactured in 1861 during the first year of production. Polish blued 6 - 1/2" barrel with New York address, pin front sight, and hammer notch rear. Rebated percussion cylinder rolled with stagecoach holdup scene. Standard silver plated brass grip straps marked with "36 CAL" designation. Grips are 1-piece smooth walnut. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel retains the vast majority of its factory blued with wear along the high edges and scattered marks. Cylinder is essentially gray patina with a largely legible scene. A few traces of case color visible. Grip straps display mottled golden patina. Grips are very fine with only light marks and wear. Strong and bright bore with a few oxidation spots. Mechanically fine. Matching numbers observed throughout. A very nice example.
